Today, July 15th, marks the release of the Steaking.io platform. At its current iteration, Steaking is a beginner-friendly non-custodial Solana staking platform that allows users to create stake accounts and stake to any Solana validator of their choosing.

The goal of Steaking.io has always been to create the most user-centric staking platform to allow anyone in the world to participate in non-custodial staking in just a few clicks. We believe that many of the platforms today are built for people who already know about staking or crypto, and we want to work towards building one that allows anyone to start participating in staking, even if you’re a total beginner.

Proof-of-stake (PoS) has been one of the fastest-growing developments in the blockchain industry. With this evolution, Steaking.io wants to make staking accessible and less intimidating by creating a hub of beginner-friendly financial tools based on staking, beyond a platform in which users can just stake. What does that ultimately mean? In the short term, it means that you can expect a lot of small and major updates as we venture into stake pools, liquid staking, and overall improvements into our staking platform and other features. Long term, we are going to continue to innovate and adapt to changes within the staking environment and seek to change the standard of what it means for a platform to be “user-friendly”.
